Dylan White Monday, Jul 7 2025 (3 months ago) Traxxas Spartan® SR 6S High Performance Brushless RTR Race Boat (Red) Friends don’t let friends buy a spartan SR. One of the flimsiest, worst handling boats on the market. I’m on my second split hull in a matter of like 6 packs. Both have the glue split near the esc side of the hull, and the material is not even half the thickness of the disruptor. Holding the disruptor by the open hatch area feels great, absolutely no give. Holding the spartan that way makes it feel like it’s about to snap. When it does run, it’s no where near as graceful as the disruptor either. Because the hull is so thin and light, and the motor is super heavy and all the way in the rear, even with the batteries all the way forward, the nose will jump out and it will ride on the prop very quickly, so you basically have to run below top speed to keep it in the water. The self righting system obviously stops working if the hull splits, and you kinda just have to hope you can get it back. Just buy a disruptor, a steel prop, aluminum strut mount and its trailer, you will have significantly more fun for about the same price. (Note:I bought the orange color.)
