This is an optional Traxxas Hard Anodized Teflon Coated Big Bore Front Shock Set. Traxxas Big Bore shocks provide the ultimate in damping control. They’re hard-anodized, Teflon-coated and have large cylinders for greater oil capacity. These shocks also include the super smooth, long wearing titanium nitride (TiN) coated shock shafts. Adjustments are a snap with clip-on spring pre-load spacers and installation time is reduced because the shocks are sold pre-assembled.

NOTE:This shock set does not include shock springs.

These big bore shocks work rather well, and they are indeed front shocks. If you look up the specs to almost any rc car you would know that (long) or (Large) shocks are for the front, and (XX-Long) or (XX-Long) are typically for rear shocks.
I bought these for a quick upgrade for my Traxxas Rustler VXL. No problems have surfaced so far. 7 of 8 customers found this review helpful. matt hauck Monday, Dec 6 2010 (about 14 years ago) Traxxas Hard Anodized Teflon Coated Big Bore Front Shock Set (Long) (2) While the term ‘long’ may make one think that the shock set is for the rear, these are actually front shocks. The shocks you want to use for the rear are TRA2662: XX-Long 4 of 7 customers found this review helpful. Anonymous Verified Owner Monday, Dec 6 2010 (about 14 years ago) Traxxas Hard Anodized Teflon Coated Big Bore Front Shock Set (Long) (2) These do not fit a 2wd Slash. They are too short for the rears. I made the mistake of buying these for our Slash. These are not listed correctly. They hold less shock fluid than the stock ones. Instructions not included . Comes with fluid but does not tell you what grade.?.Leaked when I filled them. Please remove or modify, A Main. 3 of 17 customers found this review helpful. View all reviews
