Rockland Moore Verified Owner Tuesday, Sep 24 2024 (about a year ago) Traxxas Blast 24″ High Performance RTR Race Boat (Green) Didn’t work out of the box. The motor was laboring heavily the entire time, the boat barely moved, and the drive shaft was shredding itself. There is also no reverse and you can’t remove the battery. All in all, would not recommend, maybe wait for a second version 1 customer found this review helpful. Rock Hounds Verified Owner Wednesday, Sep 11 2024 (about a year ago) Traxxas Blast 24″ High Performance RTR Race Boat (Green) The Traxxas Blast is good, not great, but fun! I bought the Blast because of the price. Knowing that I’ll probably only use it a few times a year when I go camping. On my first battery it passed the first test, it didn’t sink. The 3000mah battery will run for about 8-10 minutes and I wouldn’t run it any longer. The ESC and motor run incredibly hot! I think this might be normal with the high resistance of the water but it’s hard to tell. Traxxas recommends at least 15 minutes between battery packs and it was about an hour before I noticed the motor was back to ambient temperature. The Blast is priced very nice but I would absolutely spend the extra money for the Pro Boat Recoil. I’ll be adding a water jacket pump and water cooled ESC as soon as it burns up!
