Shaft Driven CC-02 Chassis Trail Truck
This is the Tamiya Ford Baja Bronco 1/10 CC-02 4WD Electric Off-Road Truck Kit. It accurately recreates the First Generation Ford Bronco on the cross-country CC-02 chassis. The first-generation Bronco was relatively compact and versatile off-road, and participated in a number of races including the prestigious Baja 500 and Baja 1000. The Baja Bronco Edition was sold from 1971 to 1975 to commemorate its victories at these events, and is still widely popular today.

Chassis
Designed for a wide range of off-road scenery including rocky terrain, the CC-02 chassis has a ladder frame that is inspired by full-sized vehicles and is the foundation for ultimate durability. This kit also features a 4WD setup that employs the motor longitudinally behind the front axle with a separated gearbox and transfer case, with propeller shafts transmitting power to the front and rear differential gears.
Suspension
This kit employs a four-link rigid suspension system to both the front and rear, with composite link arms on each axle housing. It has CVA oil dampers for superior control even on the toughest terrain. This ergonomic design offers durability and ground clearance for peace of mind when tackling those tricky off-road trails. The axles are designed to be sturdy and rigid, allowing one wheel to be pushed down while another wheel is raised for unmatched traction.
Polycarbonate Body
The body included with the kit is clear, uncut, and unpainted, allowing for your own personal touch while keeping it as close to the original as possible. The lightweight and durable polycarbonate body has molded lines that were designed to match the first-generation Ford Baja Bronco, and this kit includes a detailed chrome-plated body accessory set to add the final touches. The decal sheet includes a matte-finish hood sticker and separation decals to aid in the painting process, allowing you to paint the Ford Baja Bronco in its stunning original form.

Robert Popham Verified Owner Friday, Mar 28 2025 (6 months ago) Tamiya Ford Baja Bronco 1/10 CC-02 4WD Electric Off-Road Truck Kit I fell in love with this kit as soon as I saw it. It will replace my 1994 Tamiya Short Course F150 which has been hammered for the last 30 years. It still runs great but very loose. Still faster than snot! No issues with the kit at all. The Bronco is a very good trail truck stock. It is tougher than the old F150. As a rock crawler it needs width. I used wider, deeper tires from ProLine that were about the same height as stock. Does well but it is not a big boy. It could be with taller tires and lower gears. I have now set it up for short course with the wider tires. Handles great but still working on the gear ratio for a little more speed. I am trying different spur gears sense the t21 pinion doesn’t quite get me there. The AMain guys have everything in stock. They are great. I finished the body all stock dark candy plum. Almost looks black. The body is mounted to clear the tires. Added lights. It’s a very good truck. The first time for me with the CC-02 chassis and I think it’s a winner! The ++ is there are extra parts you can add to the differentials to make lockers. Front, rear, or both. Shock travel spacers, shock extensions to increase height, and many extras to build it your way. This one will out live me.
