This R/C model assembly kit faithfully reproduces the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Club Racer. This iteration of the MB-01 is specifically designed as the middle wheelbase, featuring a midship rear motor and rear-wheel-drive (MR) configuration. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA, introduced in 1965, was meticulously crafted as a lightweight, high-performance variant of the 2-door coupe Giulia Sprint GT. With only 500 units manufactured, this model achieved notable success in the late 1960s, securing multiple class champion titles in the European Touring Car Championship. Beyond its factory endeavors, the Giulia Sprint GTA continued to impress on the racetrack under the management of various racing teams, capturing widespread attention with its outstanding performance.

Performance Chassis
The versatile 2WD MB-01 chassis, known for its compact design, offers a selection of three wheelbase options and both front- or rear-wheel drive systems. This particular model adopts a midship motor with a rear-wheel drive configuration. Switching between front- and rear-wheel drive is a breeze – without the need to remove the battery pack, motor, or R/C equipment setups, simply adjust the attachment directions of the final gears and steering linkage. For rear-wheel drive cars, you have the flexibility to choose between low or high motor positions. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension boasts a symmetrical structure and friction dampers for optimal performance. This chassis Kit includes both a torque tuned brushed motor and Hobbywing 1060 ESC. these components combine to deliver a performance enhanced on-road racing experience. With exceptional current endurance capability, easily configurable parameters using ESC jumpers, and automatic throttle range calibration for user-friendly setup, the Quicrun 1060 stands out. Connector Information
When upgrading to a high current LiPo battery, it is recommended to also upgrade your battery connector. We recommend using an XT60 or T-Style connector for this application. Please check out the video below to learn how to solder on a T-Style connector.

JSulli Friday, Sep 5 2025 (3 weeks ago) Tamiya Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Club Racer 1/10 FWD/RWD On-Road Kit I got the kit with the painted body and it went together very well. I upgraded the motor to a 2s brushless setup and with the rear wheel drive it was difficult to keep it going in a straight line. The chassis has a boat load of slop in it so I started shimming and trying to eliminate what I could. I’ve now swapped it to front wheel drive which is a quick and easy procedure.
I like the kit, in spite of it’s short comings and will probably end up building the Mini Cooper which is one of my favorite 60’s cars.
My grand kids and I like building and thrashing the Tamiya kits and will continue to buy, build, repair and modify them for many years….I hope. View all reviews
