Robinson Racing Steel 48P Pinion Gear (3.17mm Bore) (23T)

These Robinson Racing Products 48 Pitch Pinion Gears are precision cut alloy steel gears that feature a hard nickel coating for durability. The pinions have an 1/8″ bore, are stamped with the tooth number for easy identification and include one 5-40 set screw. These gears are available in a variety of tooth count options to fine tune the torque and top speed of your vehicle.

Tried out the the 15T and the wheel speed was a little too high so I bumped down to a 12T. I always trust Robinson Racing to make high quality parts. Fit and meshed nicely. Now I just wish they made a spur gear for the Yeti Jr. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear that anyone does but the stock plastic Axial one. Needed a new pinion gear when I upgraded to brushless because of a different size motor shaft. I’ve never had any issues with Robinson Racing parts in the past so it was an easy decision. Ran a couple 3s packs through it with no obvious sighns of wear. The Nickel plating is holding up nicely. Should hold up pretty well when used with a plastic spur gear. I do wish A-main stocked these in the hardened steel version from Robinson though.
