I can’t believe they’ve been out since 2023 and I’d never heard of them. I wanted tires in the 4.9″ to 5.3″ range for my straight axle rigs. I stumbled across these in an closed thread and visited ol’ YouTube, which gave good reviews. They are 4.9″O.D. and I mounted them on 1.9″ SSD steelies and ran them on an SCX10 Pro with carbon rails and Fusion Pro. They are one of the most versatile tires I’ve tried. I ran them on sand (wet and dry), soil, and steep rocks along the shore of nearby Millerton Lake, CA. This lake has some of the most varied crawling terrains I’ve ever seen packed together in California. They ate them up; only JConcepts Rupture have impressed me like these Trepadors did. Also ran them on Capra, SCX10 II, Basecamp, and Element Gatekeeper all builder kits, most converted to Fusion Pro and SE combos, Redcat Ascent, Ascent Fusion RTRs, a modified RTR Gen7 Pro and Gen8 Axe. Quite a varied line up and all balanced 60/40 ish without tires minimizing tire weight in swap out decisions. The Trepadors lived up to their name, in English “Climber”. They performed exceptionally well, crawling up 48 degree boulders, sandstone and granite faces, both smooth and “stepped” from lake wave action, downhilling and sidehilling. All get top marks from me and my crawler cohorts. The only slight we found was going from wet to dry sand/soil, the G8 compound picked up enough debris to cause slipping on rocks but what tire doesn’t. Multiple Proline Krawler KM + KX, Trenchers, RC4WD versions, JConcept Ruptures, Hold, Tusk and Megalithic, yes I have a tire sub-addiction but you get the picture. The Trepadors have been awesome for the month I’ve owned them and run them 3-4 times a weeks on different rigs. I would highly recommend these 1.9″I.D. Trepador tires. The Proline MT Pro Baja at 4.85″ are a good tire yet the Trepador’s slight height and tread pattern are a definite advantage. I’ve ordered some Proline Aztek LP (Low Profile) 2.2″I.D. 5.3″O.D. tires to hit the high end of my range. 2 customers found this review helpful. The H10 stock tires were actually pretty good in my opinion, but I wanted more aggressive looking tires for a scale look. I crawl mainly in a badlands area, lots of sandy rocks and packed sand of a sort, these tires seem to do really well.
