Harold Bascom Verified Owner Monday, Aug 26 2024 (about a year ago) Losi 8IGHT-X Super Lasernut 4WD Brushless 1/6 RTR Electric Rock Racer Buggy It took some months to pull the trigger on the 1/6 scale, Losi Super LASERNUT. I combed through YouTube for all the reviews I could have found– the pros, but especially the cons which weren’t many, so I was prepared for front drive shaft to pop out, and the tedium of having to take the spare wheel off to get the body flipped back. I understood that it wasn’t destined to be a high-jumping basher, and that was fine with me. So, I bought it.
Yes, the left front drive shaft popped out, and I was prepared for it; yes, I kept forgetting to take the spare wheel off to get the body flipped back. But then I made some suspension adjustments and stopped the drive shaft popping out, and after that, I had a blast in my backyard. It’s NOW the BEST RC VEHICLE IN MY COLLECTION. Garage Unknown Tuesday, Jul 30 2024 (about a year ago) Losi 8IGHT-X Super Lasernut 4WD Brushless 1/6 RTR Electric Rock Racer Buggy I am now (12) battery packs into this RC and I’m pretty astonished. Some YouTube reviews show some small issues that you may need to consider. However, I can’t say I have experience a single one. It has been consistent and a ton of fun! The steering and servo is surprisingly great! The power is a handful. Everyone assuming 6’s is underpowered clearly hasn’t driven one. I clocked mine at 43mph in grass and 56.7mph on pavement. So speeds are near exact to a super baja Rey 2.0… It’s fast haha. The tires grip really well in all conditions, and seem to hold up great. Never noticed any cooling issues either. The scale detail is impressive, and the body and wheels are down right beautiful. It handles all my local 1/8 scale tracks and jumps with ease. Handling is the best of all of my large scale buggies. It’s fast and nimble, and holds up well. 5 packs in, and zero breakage.
*** This is NOT a Basher. It’s a high speed scale rig, that is only designed for small jumps. If you’re looking for a rig to send to the moon, buy an Arrma.
