Reza Verified Owner Monday, Jan 27 2025 (8 months ago) HPI Sport 3 BMW 2002 Turbo 1/10 RTR 4WD Brushless Touring Car (White) This kit is beautiful. This kit gets the little details right: chrome side mirrors, red defrost lines in the rear window, Euro style license plate, headlights have a vintage glow. When I opened the box I just stared at it for a while. Can’t say enough how beautiful it is.
Then I drove it. All 4 wheels rub on the fenders and break the body apart. The rear posts can probably be adjusted to clear the fenders, but the front cannot. It’s completely unusable. I have 10-15 mins of runtime, couldn’t do anything fun because the car was too squirrely. I tried adjusting the controller and testing, then checked the car itself for something stuck in the wheels or something. Then I saw the cracked fender. Brought it inside and I actually have small cracks in ALL four fenders. A real shame. This car is beautiful and would have been fun driving around the neighborhood.
Reached out to HPI and was directed to AMain. Sent pictures showing the fenders clearly rubbing, AMain agreed to reach out to HPI about it but I doubt it goes anywhere. Again, real shame. Buy at your own risk 3 customers found this review helpful. View all reviews
