The HobbyZone XCub 450mm is a scale replica of the popular XCub by CubCrafters, renowned as the safest and most extensively tested adventure airplane ever. It’s a modern iteration of the Super Cub and the classic J-3 Cub, one of the most popular pre-WWII trainer aircraft. The XCub 450mm’s ultra-micro size makes it perfect for learning to fly RC airplanes in smaller spaces like large yards, parks, and soccer fields. Equipped with Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope (SAFE) technology, it helps prevent overcontrol, loss of orientation, and crashes, ensuring a successful learning experience for nearly everyone. With Beginner, Intermediate, and Experienced flight modes, you can choose the level of stability and control at the flip of a switch.

Skill

Skill Level 1 “trainer” aircraft are ideal for beginners and first-time RC (Radio Controlled) pilots, as they require no prior experience to fly. Once you’ve successfully mastered flying the XCub 450mm, you can progress to a larger and more capable trainer or a “Skill Level 2 the Next Step After A Trainer” model.

Durability

The unique “pop off” prop saver design and advanced EPP material construction create a lightweight yet incredibly durable airframe, capable of withstanding everyday flying without damage. A spare propeller is included, and if any airframe parts or components are damaged beyond repair, replacement airframes and spare parts are readily available.

Dennis McCarthy Verified Owner Friday, Jun 28 2024 (about a year ago) HobbyZone XCub RTF Basic Electric Airplane (450mm) w/SAFE Technology Purchased for my son which has several VOLANTEX RTF planes, P-51, T-28 and the Skynetic Pitts. The Xcub flys heavy, not as good as the other brands. The Prop Saver broke first flight, simple part the prop snaps into, saves the motor from damage. It’s not available as a replacement part? Typical HH fashion! The Volantex, Skynetic, props savers DO NOT fit Hobby Zone. I would have to replace entire plane which is totally BS. Don’t waste your money.
