Chad Siegler Verified Owner Tuesday, Mar 11 2025 (7 months ago) Exotek Grom/Nascar Aluminum Lightweight Spur (59T) Absolute hot garbage part don’t even waste your hard earned money! This part absolutely will not fit in stock form. First installed the part and couldn’t even get the car to roll at all. After taking things apart multiple times I finally discovered that the shank that sits next to the bearing was hitting on the chassis and causing a massive bind. Compared the diameter of new gear to factory gear and discovered that the old gear was .37in diameter and the new one was .41in diameter. If it wasn’t for a machinist buddy that said give it to me I got this I would have a perfectly useless chunk of metal. Once turned down to match the factory diameter the part fit great and combined with the Losi aluminum shaft I have been able to shave a couple tenths off of lap time but all in all the gain is not worth the headache associated with getting the part to work Exotek really needs to go back to the drawing board and rethink this part! 2 customers found this review helpful. Customer service from Exotek wanted me to take a bunch of measurements for them instead of just letting me send it back for a return. Not worth the hassle. It binds something terrible. I would give it zero stars if I could. Save your money and buy the Delrin gear from Losi. View all reviews
