Khalifa Alboinen Friday, Apr 25 2025 (5 months ago) EcoPower High Performance 45T Brushed Motor for Losi™ Micro-B™ & Micro-T™ I bought this motor the second I got the email that it existed and unlike the other reviewer, I actually had a very positive experience. Its not crazy brushless fast, but it provides a nice boost of power that you can actually use. I’ve run 3 battery packs through it so far and haven’t had any issues. Make sure to put a little CA glue inside the pinion when you put it on the new motor and just drop it right in for a nice performance increase. I usually race my brushless Micro B, but I think I’m going to race the buggy that I popped the Ecopower motor into instead this weekend. Based on my experience on my home track, I think it will be fast enough to keep up with the brushless cars. I’ll update my review if that turns out NOT to be true, or if I have any issues like the other reviewer. 3 customers found this review helpful. I was one of the first to buy this motor when it first came out. I thought moving from the stock 65t to a 45t motor was going to give me the speed that I needed in the straights for when I go racing on a weekly basis. It was actually slower and I was (on average) 3 seconds a lap slower than I was with my stock motor in my Micro B. Secondly, yes, it was plug and play but completely failed on me in the middle of my second race (1 hour cool down in between my heats so plenty of time to cool down. It just stopped working. I thought that my battery ran out (but it wasn’t since my lipo still had a 77% charge) but the motor was stupidity hot and just not working, zero throttle response. Totally worth it for the price.
*UPDATE* – Do NOT buy! I bought four of these total. While speed does increase – I’ve had two motors fail after 1.5 packs each. The stock Micro batteries…everything else on the truck stock…two motors completely failed after 1.5 packs each. No harsh running, indoors in AC on hardwood/carpet. Ran fine the first pack, then halfway through second it fried. Hours of cool down time between each pack on each motor. Disappointing because it’s much faster, but should have expected this being such a cheap motor. Don’t waste your money – get a quality motor. 1 customer found this review helpful.
