Align Ball Link Plier

This is a set of Align Ball Link Pliers. These are for removing and installing ball links without damaging the balls or links. Manufactured from medium carbon steel material these pliers feature heat treated points for maximum hardness and Iron-Nickel Plated Surface to prevent rust. The curved tip allows easy access to hard to reach links. They also have a slot to grasp and hold the link rods while installing or adjusting the links.

Grooves in plier tips were burred, sharp, and badly marred my ball links. It took a bit of work with my flex shaft drill to clean up the burs and sharp edges. Had to grind up the larger ball opening to avoid that the link balls get stuck when popping them off. Metal is soft and the thin ends of the pliers bend during use (have to bend them back from time to time); it seems like a question of time before they break. Thus one needs to be careful not to damage plastic ball link with the pin. Metal is so soft and the thin ends of the pliers bend during use and there is already visible crack in one of the ends.
