Tony Corrao Verified Owner Sunday, Apr 13 2025 (6 months ago) Traxxas Slash® Modified 1/10 RTR 2WD Dirt Oval Racer (Orange) This is text book, Traxxas. These cars all need sorting out to work. Bought this for dirt oval racing, which is what this car was designed for. I have never had a transmission this tight, so take it apart take out the thick goo in the differential and replace with something way lighter. If the rules permit, the bell crank and plastic gear servo, will also go, but for $20 you can buy metal gears which is a great upgrade and fail proof and the track cant see the upgrade. . I did replace the springs with some lighter and after resetting the camber and toe, the car actually ran pretty good for first time out. It did plush coming off the corner, but the thick transmission lube, would help explain that. Was surprised with the performance, even with the thick goo and running with VXL Slash’s, it was not that slow. I have built a lot of dirt oval Slash based cars, so some sorting out and its will be just fine, love the body, HATE THE TRAXXAS CLIPLESS BODY MOUNTS, so crafted some Proline style posts with screw on caps, problem solved, thus the 4 star rating. A Main Hobbies is the best, 3 day free delivery, cant beat their service !!!! My go to for parts. Amazon has gotten so slow, I don’t buy from them any longer, except sometimes for Batteries. There tech service is also a strong point, had some questions on the GTR springs and they left a message for one of their dirt oval guys to call me, great help Richard was. If you in the market for one of these, I say buy it, even the Hoosier Tires work good. View all reviews
