Blake Rose Saturday, Feb 1 2025 (8 months ago) Traxxas Mini Maxx® Brushless 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Blue) Bought this from my local traxxas dealer 1st 5-10 minutes of run already have a bad clicking noise found out the rear diffs are junk from factory so going to be spending money on x01 conversion. Then the next pack few days later just running in my basement the servo failed. Would i buy another one of these no just get a arrma and leave traxxas in dust is all i have to say
Worst car from traxxas i have ever had. reason i stayed away from traxxas for 5 years. i decided to get this mini because it had 1/10 electronics and diffs but its worse then i have ever thought.
Known issues wish i have known before buying is the bad diff and even worse chassis can snap pretty easily. stay away from this model tell traxxas has a recall and fixes all these issues 5 of 6 customers found this review helpful. Ross Beck Monday, Mar 24 2025 (6 months ago) Traxxas Mini Maxx® Brushless 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Blue) So far so… okay. hit a curb going surprisingly slow (like maybe 10mph) and exploded the servo. (even with that servo saver somehow it totally stripped)
Bought an upgraded one that’s metal geared (EcoPower WP110T) and way more responsive and haven’t had any issues since!
other general traxxas complaint is how obscenely expensive their proprietary batteries are… instantly snipped and soldered on an XT60 so i can use whatever i want.
It really is a pretty damn balanced ride, solid understeer in most scenarios and only oversteers when it’s a little damp out (which is my fave time to drive, lots of fun drifting) 3 customers found this review helpful. They also take PayPal and offer a credit through affirm. Once you qualify you pick your payment option 6mth 1year. That’s the route I went. Will continue using amain hobby for all my rc needs.
