Makes a heavy truggy feel like a buggy. Not sure what the other reviewer went thru but I had my engine EBIS’D by an experienced racer and it was pretty much pain free.I run OS P3 plugs with TNR 30% nitro at the suggestion of a Nova sponsored racer and it’s money. Buy one and enjoy. 3 customers found this review helpful. Kevin M. Verified Owner Sunday, Sep 7 2025 (3 weeks ago) Nova Engines T6R EVO .24 6-Port Off-Road Truggy Nitro Engine (DLC Shaft) I’ve had my eye on trying a nova for a while now. there aren’t many reviews out and they are split between people saying there awesome and people saying there qc sucks and they need to mature a bit more as a company. i got this motor on labor day sale for $230 and couldn’t say no. I ran a couple idle tanks which was fine, motor came with super rich needle settings, like oil pouring out of the pipe rich. after them i started to break it in and had a lot of trouble keeping it running. kept wanting to flame out and would never idle consistantly. coming from primarily an OS background which break in like a dream, this motor was frustrating. after 3 or 4 tanks of fighting it i gave up and decided to try changing the glow plug. I make a mistake and didn’t by any spare nova plugs so i used one of my OS P3 plugs having read here that someone had run them. It made an immediate and drastic affect on how the motor ran. it idled much better, ran crisper and i was able to dial in a tune pretty quick. i now have almost 3/4 of a gallon through it and its running great. i don’t know if the nova plug it came with was bad or if nova plugs are crap in general but i’m having great success on gold p3 plugs running 25% nitro. the motor is a beast btw, more then enough power to through around my truggy. From the start it gave me trouble. I went through 3 starter box wheels just to get it started, even heating the engine up did t make it easier.
Once it did start the engine would race so high and I had no throttle response. The carburetor slide is sticking.causing you to have no control. You.could hear it binding on something as it opened or closed. 0 of 2 customers found this review helpful. View all reviews
