About the Mini-B
Suspension
The suspension for the Losi Mini-B was scaled down from the Losi 22 platform to give you extreme performance in a small package. Adjustable turnbuckles and threaded, oil-filled shocks allow you to fine tune the suspension to your driving surface. The front and rear shock towers feature optional mounting holes to further adjust suspension setup.
Chassis
The chassis is made from 1.5mm 6061-T6 aluminum to provide strength and durability around the track. The mid-moto configuration keeps the buggy well balanced on high-traction surfaces. The transmission features fill metal gears for durability and full ball bearings for efficiency.
Electronics
This buggy comes out of the box with a brushless 2-in-1 motor/esc power system. Using the included 2S LiPo battery this mini buggy boasts a top speed of 30mph. The included Spektrum SLT2 2.4GHz Transmitter and receiver allows you to fine tune endpoints and center your servo.

Ian Tuesday, Apr 2 2024 (about a year ago) Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR Brushless 2WD Buggy (Blue) Let me start by saying that this is definitely a well built and designed kit. It comes with everything you need to get going right out of the box (including the AA batteries for the transmitter). It absolutely rips at 100% throttle but I usually keep mine between the 50% and 75% max throttle to make it more manageable around my local small and twisty indoor carpet track. Now, as much as I love this little car, I do have some major gripes with the electronics. They work absolutely fine so it’s not a functionality issue, I’m less than pleased with the proprietary IC2 battery connector on the Spektrum motor. Its a sensored motor so it does not require a separate esc to save space which makes sense. But why they would use the IC2 Spektrum system is beyond me. This essentially locks you into their proprietary charger and battery system (much like Apple products). The charger that comes with the kit is an absolute joke, so as any normal person would do, they would try and hook their new battery up to their 200 dollar Protek charger that they’ve been using for everything else. Oh wait, your expensive charger won’t charge IC2 batteries because of the proprietary design and functionality. So now you do a little google search and find a Spektrum G2 smart battery charger for 60 bucks, but wait, it only has connections for IC3 and IC5 battery connectors. So now you look up an adapter to go from IC3 device to IC2 battery and you find it, but for another 8 bucks. So now you’re into this 250 dollar car for another 68 dollars (without tax) bringing up the grand total to 318 USD (again, without tax, so most likely more). For that price, you could have gotten the roller kit and built it up with some great electronics with normal battery connectors and balance leads. Anyways, I’m now waiting for the smallest hint of an issue with the electronics so I have an excuse to gut it and give it the equipment this kit deserves. Don’t be like me, just get the roller if you want a brushless mini B. Thank you for listening to my Ted talk. 10 of 11 customers found this review helpful. Vincente Dearmore Verified Owner Thursday, Apr 10 2025 (6 months ago) Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR Brushless 2WD Buggy (Blue) So good! Very stable and a lot of fun, even on the track meant for 1/10th stuff. Very impressive. Not a big fan of the stock battery. Doesn’t fit any of my good chargers due to the SMART system. Swapped connectors on the ESC and bought and aftermarket battery. Plan for this, unless you’ve bought into the SMART stuff. Scott Roeber Verified Owner Saturday, Mar 22 2025 (6 months ago) Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR Brushless 2WD Buggy (Blue) Great LITLLE buggy! Although i would recommend indoor use only. I’m sure it would be a perfect race car for a small indoor track or large living room. I’ve driven it indoors with the included 2S battery and it moves. Never tried it with an 3S pack, although I think it would be too much power for small spaces. Today I took it outside along with my Typhon Grom and unfortunately, was a bit dissapointed. Because it is rear wheel drive and the tires are so small, it constantly got stuck and dug holes in the loose dirt. I expect if the dirt was firmer and drier, it may have been more capable. Although it is 1/16th scale it is considerably smaller than the 1/14 scale Typhon Grom, and with it’s 4wd, and more aggressive tires, the Grom could power through, whereas the Mini-B just couldn’t perform.
