Anonymous Sunday, Jun 24 2012 (about 13 years ago) Kyosho Ring Gear Grease This is the best grease for ring and pinions in any vehicle. It DOES NOT fling off and can therefore be used very sparingly to reduce the weight. From my research it is based off of Dow Corning’s 3452 which is a fluorosilicone oil thickened with flourinated polymers with added Teflon. I bought a 2 oz tube of it for $50 bucks because the stuff works so damn well.
Why this grease is labeled for a ball differential in an 1/8 scale nitro car I haven’t figured out. 7 customers found this review helpful. Just finished checking off the ring and pinions on my new Tekno ET48.2 and this grease was used and I am really impressed versus using black grease . Purchase this grease and you will never use black grease ever again on ring and pinions. The best thing is that it is also safe on plastic gears, This was also tested on the plastic ring and pinions inside a Team associated B74.2D CE edition and the gears where flawless after a couple of practices and races.
