v Verified Owner Sunday, May 25 2025 (4 months ago) JConcepts Switchback 2.8″ Pre-Mounted Tires (2) (12mm Hex) (Platinum) I finally put these on my pro4 sc10 with a HW 10BL60 G2 + 4000kv 3652 15/54t (somewhere around 10k/100k/7k diff oil) that I only run 2s and they’re quite decent. They still balloon but, it’s about what I’d expect not to bad. The truck isn’t tail happy anymore too which is great.
I am still worried about the glue job that burnt me last time, but I’m keeping an eye on them.
thanks to Amain for sending me out a set to replace the blown tire (see below), I wasn’t expecting such customer focused service like that.

I really wanted to like these, they’re soft, grippy, and handle very well (on 2s with my setup) but, they’ll blow out from the bead on a high powered 3s setup fairly quickly.
I wish amain had photo uploads for reviews; the tire bead itself is fairly large, as jconcepts says on their page but, the factory glue job is very lacking. barely any of the surface area available is glued up. as soon as the glue fails the tire rips apart.
I did email jconcepts 2 weeks ago to see if this is normal as the glue from the outside looks perfect, they haven’t responded.
if they updated how these are glued I’d recommend these for a 2s setup similar to mine. even with this issue I liked them that much.
3s setup is to much, with the glue issue and the ballooning it’s not worth it. I’ll be trying something belted next.
