This thing is a beast! I am using on a 6s setup paired with the Hobbywing XR8 Plus G2s for 1/7 4wd street. Kevin Mccubbin Verified Owner Wednesday, Oct 30 2024 (11 months ago) Hobbywing EZRUN 4990SD G2 4-Pole 1/6 Scale Sensored Brushless Motor (1650kV) The motor shaft broke after I tried to remove the pinion gear. This was after maybe 3 battery packs through it. Gabriel Baird Monday, Sep 23 2024 (about a year ago) Hobbywing EZRUN 4990SD G2 4-Pole 1/6 Scale Sensored Brushless Motor (1650kV) Amazing motor! I use it paired with a Max8 in my V5 Typhon as I didn’t like the performance of the 2250Kv (overheated a little too soon for my liking). This motor is a beast. It just barely fits (about 1mm to spare underneath) but it does fit fine once everything is tightened up. On Hoons it manages about 80+ with 24 degrees turbo timing and it can do almost 15 minutes of decently hard pulls without getting too hot. I use a PowerHobby 49mm fan clamp with dual high speed 40mm fans @ 8.4v and the overall setup is extremely fast, cool and smooth. Turbo timing works great (you can hear the rpms ramp up at full throttle after the turbo delay) and sensored with the Max8 is seamless. Overall an awesome motor for any 1/8 car (if you can fit it!) Christopher Vanhooser Tuesday, Dec 26 2023 (about a year ago) Hobbywing EZRUN 4990SD G2 4-Pole 1/6 Scale Sensored Brushless Motor (1650kV) this is an excellent motor for the fireteam 6s but this motor and max 6 g2 esc are capable of running light 8s so bash away.. the thing is i did explode the output shaft on my first motor simply becuase i was rashin on a 20tooth pinion gear before i even depleted some of the battery but hey you live and learn lol View all reviews
