Matt Perser Verified Owner Saturday, Feb 3 2007 (about 18 years ago) Fioroni 35mm Turbo Sliding Clutch Universal Flywhe I was about to give up on my Losi Muggy, (AKA Losi Clutchkiller). I tried carbon shoes, 7075 aluminum shoes, low gearing, vented clutch bells, titanium nitride clutch bells and even expensive ceramic bearings, none of those things gave me more than 2-5 tanks of run-time, before the shoes melted and the bearings seized.
As a last resort I decided to buy the best clutch on the market, I bought the Fioroni turbo slider with the carbon shoes and put on a 12t vented clutch bell with ceramic bearings.
I can’t believe how simple and effective this clutch is, it has outstanding grabbing power and after 3 GALLONS of fuel it shows no signs of wear.
Whoever came up with the shoe clutch is an idiot, shoe clutches are terrible, they have low grabbing power, chew up bearings, generate too much heat and are difficult to install.
Integy has made a slider clutch just like the fioroni, the design will probably show up in RTRs soon and eventually the outdated shoe clutch might disappear.

Anonymous Monday, Jan 17 2011 (about 14 years ago) Fioroni 35mm Turbo Sliding Clutch Universal Flywhe I race 1/8 scale buggy and truggy, and there is a lot of work to maintain a 4 shoe clutch.Don’t get me wrong, they work good. I bought this clutch and changed the springs a little bit, WOW I really like it. There is no pins to worry about and no aluminum build-up to get out of my clutch bell. Perfomance wise, it is just as good as a 4 shoe. Oh yeah did I mention that these shoes will last a full season and then some? After destroying the carbon shoes on my x1 cr and several times of deburring alum shoes, i can’t imagine using another 3 shoe setup again. I have ran 3 gallons of fuel through my buggy and the shoes show very little wear. All you have to do to maintain them is pull the clutch bell off after full day of playing and clean off the dust. I have used these for years on both truggys and buggys. If your tired of major clutch maintenece and just want to have fun racing or just racing around spend the money and give up ALL other clutch systems. Cheers!
