Gabriel B Verified Owner Monday, Dec 16 2024 (9 months ago) EcoPower “Electron Dual” Intelligent LiPo/LiHV/LiFe AC/DC Charger I had two Gens Ace iMars chargers which did not balance accurately, (even when correctly calibrated) which caused the first cell in a battery to be considerably lower than it should have been after charging (like almost 50 mV off from the factory on both chargers).
I decided to look for a similar charger with the same form factor and I stumbled upon the Electron Dual, which is a rebranded iMars D300. However, despite being pretty much the same product the Electron Dual is very accurate when balancing and doesn’t have any problems at all charging and storaging. I have mine set to 4.18 v/cell and after charging a 6s 6000mAh LiPo, the final voltages ranged from 4.189v to 4.183v, which seems really good compared to my other chargers.
As i mentioned before, it’s very similar to the iMars D300, other than the redesigned cooling vents which the D300 doesn’t have. This similarity becomes even more obvious as my crawler G-Tech 4300 LiHV packs are recognized by the Electron Dual and begin charging as normal with the correct settings, which is a win in my book as I now have an accurate charger that can also charge G-Tech batteries automatically. The quality of the charger feels great and nothing vibrates or makes strange noises. However, two things the D300 has that the Dual doesn’t seem to have is the ability to charge NiMH or set the menus to alternate languages. For me, this isn’t an issue, but if you want to charge older batteries or are not an English speaker, these could pose a problem. Other than that, it’s a great charger and I’ll definitely be replacing my D300s with these. 2 customers found this review helpful.
