It’s a really solid truck, looks great and I cannot get over how amazing it handles. For this price- you cannot beat it. It is so much fun to drive, and simple.
Time will tell on durability, but out of the box it seems really solid. I plan to keep it completely stock. It really handles/performs that well! I was able to fit a Spektrum 5000mah 3S battery I already had in by removing ESC lead from battery compartment and routing up top, and routing battery lead through to the top. This way the battery/ESC connection is out of the battery compartment. Super simple and it works. 1 customer found this review helpful. But this thing really impressed me how well it handles rough terrain and even some medium height grass. It has way more power and speed than my gorgon even after putting a hobby wing bl10 motor and ESC in it. I’d say it’s hard to beat for the price. It looks good, the body is much tougher than the gorgon and the color schemes are fantastic. The only drawback I’ve noticed is the battery compartment is very limiting on battery choices and quite difficult to use when you don’t have the exact spectrum battery. Fantastic platform thats super tough,easy to clean and makes battery swaps a breeze. I started with the 223s fury a couple months ago,and fell in love with its simple robust design. Now im all in on this platform,planning to add a vortex 223s 2wd to compete my collection. This 2wd Quake with its stability control on easily outperforms my Granite 4×4 in just about every way. Scott Roeber Verified Owner Monday, Sep 1 2025 (4 weeks ago) Arrma Quake 223S DSC 1/10 RTR Brushless 2WD Monster Truck (Purple) Great 2wd monster truck. Reminds me of my Gorgon, but with more power. I have a 2wd VORTEKS that I upgraded to brushless with the same motor and ESC, but I think the Quake is more fun. I ordered the purple and pink livery and it is very striking, the best color option in my opinion. I’m happy to see that the body roll that makes the gorgon so much fun to drive was carried over to the Quake. I’m glad that they came out with it, as I was planning on upgrading the Gorgon to brushless, but I see little reason to now, as the motor, esc and pinion need to be upgraded as the motor shaft is larger on the brushless and a 3660 is needed to clear the depth of the motor compartment. I’ve put about three 2s and 3s 5000 batteries through it and nothing has broken, even after lawn darting it into the ground a few times from 10′ in the air.
