The MOJAVE GROM 223S BLX desert truck body attaches to the chassis securely with a quick snap-on, press-release design, making it hassle-free for all ages, especially young drivers. Factory-finished right out of the box, the truck sports the iconic ARRMA MOJAVE look in a compact scale, with rugged dBoots Fortress tires on durable, color-matched wheels for dependable all-terrain traction. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)

The TYPHON GROM 223S BLX stands out for all drivers with its Spektrum electronics’ Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), offering four selectable modes that automatically adjust steering for improved handling, confidence, and safety on various surfaces. As you gain experience, DSC can be switched off, allowing you to fully rely on your own driving skills.

Drivetrain & Electronics

Chad Rike Verified Owner Thursday, Jan 2 2025 (9 months ago) Arrma Mojave Grom 223S BLX 1/16 Brushless RTR 4WD Desert Truck (Teal) These have been out for a little bit but I saw a friend on Instagram gram a couple, so I grabbed one for my daughter and myself. I liked them so much I ordered 6 more and I think I’m going to start giving them to my customers! These little guys are rippers and can take a beating, move quickly and are nimble. They are built tough and look awesome right out of the box. When I was a kid we had crap that couldn’t even turn one direction and now at 45 these little things can do so much. The value was half the fun. I’m afraid now you’ll be wishing you spent the money on something bigger, and hopefully not a Horizon product.
Horizon increased prices across the board because of the tariffs, however I highly doubt if they were forced to disclose how much the tariffs affected them that they could justify a $40 price hike on this rig. That’s just pure greed. Horizon is taking advantage of the tariffs, offsetting their cost to pay them, and price gouging behind the curtain.
Aside from that, the Mojave Grom is tons of fun. But you’ll be wishing you saved for something bigger, and the value is no longer there in this small of a SCT. Bottom line, it’s not worth nearly $300 after taxes. It just isn’t, and I wouldn’t buy it again. 4 of 7 customers found this review helpful. It is awesome. The body shell is like a turtle. It is so overbuilt and perfect. hopefully arrma will start doing more trucks with the same skeletal structure. You need to have a somewhat smooth surface or at least one with very small rocks or none at all because the tires are small. Clearance is an issue. But it’s great for a track or a skate park or cruising around the driveway or wherever you can find such a place. The grass it’ll go through but it has to be super short. It’s awesome to throw in your backpack and take to an outdoor party or a picnic. The power and speed is crazy. It just is crazy. It goes way faster than you can drive it. Haha. It drives well, looks even cooler and has a pretty solid shell. The included battery is a complete joke though. I didn’t think you can even get 10 mins of drive time. And spektrum doesn’t even make a larger ic2 battery so you’ll need to go aftermarket of you want more time. Austin Wednesday, Mar 5 2025 (7 months ago) Arrma Mojave Grom 223S BLX 1/16 Brushless RTR 4WD Desert Truck (Teal) Honestly, I’m a little disappointed. The machine is fun and rips. My negatives are that it chews tires ups (on my 5th or 6th pack and tires are half gone). $20 for a set of tires every 10-12 packs gets expensive. The almost $300 price tag after taxes is a lot. Can go up a size with the Fury for cheaper or go to the Senton for like $50 more. Finally, and my biggest is that my body will not stay on. I hit a bump and it falls off. The plastic mounting towers are already stripped less than 10 packs in! I really had high hopes but the price and body issues have really disappointed me. I shouldn’t have to buy a nee chassis or duct tape my body down this early in the game.
