Clip-Free Body

This monster truck body uses a clip-free snap-on system that makes installation quick, easy, and secure—no small parts to fumble with, making it ideal for users of all ages. It detaches just as easily with a press-and-release mechanism for hassle-free access to the chassis. Each body comes factory-painted in one of three eye-catching, durable color schemes, paired with dBoots® FORTRESS™ wheels and tires for rugged looks and confident all-terrain traction.

Electronics

The ARRMA GRANITE GROM comes equipped with a Spektrum Smart 2S LiPo battery and IC2 connectors, delivering dependable power and long run times. Recharging is quick and safe with the included Spektrum Smart G2 S10 USB-C Charger—just plug it in and charging starts automatically. The compact Spektrum SLT2 2-channel transmitter is ideal for drivers of all ages, featuring built-in speed limiting options (50% or 75%) to help new users build confidence.

I’ve been impressed by this one and now I’m thinking about getting a Mojave Grom. This is also my first Monster Truck vehicle. I’ve owned many other types of vehicles(Too many to list here). For comparison, I’ll compare it to my daughter’s Latrax Teton. Stock for stock the grom handles off road much better than the Teton. The Teton bounces around a lot, but he grom seems to stay planted. Speed wise, the Teton seems faster on road, but the Granite Grom is faster offroad. Durability wise they both are g great, until you go brushless.
My Grom hasn’t stayed stock for long. I’ve gotten the sealed diffs, upgraded axles, aluminum shocks, and have dropped in a 2840 4500KV LC racing brushless motor and Hobbywing Esc in it. After the brushless upgrade, I want to drive this thing all the time. The motor is almost too much for this small chassis, but the metal drive line makes it a bullet. I wish there were a BLX version of the Granite Grom.
I give this vehicle 4 stars for the stock set up. I can see where the weakness are in the stock form. The drive cups are plastic. The diffs are plastic. The brushed motor is surprisingly potent. The Stock servo is plenty fast, though I’m not sure how durable. The steering rack has a bunch of play in it so it’s hard to keep it straight. Once you work out the weaknesses and go brushless, you will be amazed at the performance of the vehicle. I originally bought one for my son and was pretty blown away by the quality for the price. So I bought another! This thing comes with EVERYTHING you need. All you have to supply is a little charging brick. Everyone has one fo their phone.
The charger can also be used in the car. Had a USB C plug with a regular USB adapter in the box.

I get about 20+ minutes of full throttle bashing around. On 50% for my 3 Y/O it seems like it goes forever.
The parts are super cheap, very easy to work on and uses 1.5mm & 2mm hex wrenches. No philips screws to mess up!
This is a PERFECT RC for beginners and advanced people. These things are so much fun. Can take it anywhere. It’s the perfect size. I always have mine.
One thing I would definitely recommend is to get the metal diffs. They are about 40 bucks. They are metal all around the Ring & Pinion Gears are. But, the Front & rear internal gears are plastic. They are known to break with harder use.
I’ve upgraded mine with a bunch of upgrades, including a Hobbywing brushless system and I’m having a blast. I have as much fun with this as I do my Kraton 6s EXB!
Arrma always knocks it out of the park and I’ve become a huge Arrma fan. I only buy Arrma now.

Steering and throttle are gone. Hopefully warranty will go better than the product did. I bought three of these, another one of them got six batteries through it and the differentials are all tore up. The third one has only had two batteries and I’m afraid to even use it more.
