About the Big Rock V4

Clipless Body

Gone are the days of body clips sticking out and taking away from the scale detail that RC monster trucks can have. Arrma equipped this vehicle with a hidden, clipless body system. Simply press the tabs at the front and rear of the truck and lift up. Large side guards are close-fitting to the body to help ensure dirt and rocks keep out of the chassis.

Chassis & Suspension

The front and rear independent suspension combined with oil-filled, coil-over shocks soak up rough terrain. Adjustable turnbuckles allow you to fine tune the suspension for your driving style. Forthe drivetrain, the Big Rock is equipped with metal gear differentials, front, center, and rear, and durable splined driveshafts. The bearing-supported center driveshaft ensures smooth power transfer from the motor to the front and rear differentials.

Electronics.

This truck has been given Dynamic Stability Control to ensure that first time RC enthusiasts and seasoned pros can enjoy the extreme power this truck offers. The brutal 3100Kv brushless motor is powered by an 80A ESC and both are 2S and 3S capable. A metal gear and waterproof servo allow for smooth and powerful steering. The included Spektrum 2.4GHz transmitter allows for endpoint and trim adjustments on the fly.

The screws were chipped, almost no grease in the diffs, and the box felt cheap. I had to reassemble everything right away and replace the hardware with stainless steel. Visually it looks cool and tough, but the build quality is worse compared to my Traxxas Stampede 3S. I don’t regret buying it, but it’s disappointing that small things ruin the experience. If it were made with a bit more quality, it would be great.
