The build quality appears to be fairly low, but it’s a cheap engine so what can you expect. This is not the engine you want to buy if you’re planning to build a runner. For a shelf queen to occasionally take out in a parking lot, perfect. I’ve heard a lot of complaints about getting this engine to tune and keep running, but mine has been pretty good in that regard. Look for other .12 options out there if you’re planning to race this thing, and you should because the GT is very capable with a few minor upgrades.
