IMPORTANT LITHIUM POLYMER SAFETY INFORMATION

• DO NOT leave a battery in your model when charging
• DO NOT leave lithium batteries unattended when charging
• ALWAYS balance charge lithium battery
• ALWAYS use a LiPo Safe charging bag/box
• YOU MUST use a Li-Poly specific charger to charge lithium batteries (NiMH or NiCD only chargers WILL NOT WORK!)
• YOU MUST not over discharge lithium battery packs
• READ & UNDERSTAND the instructions carefully before operating this battery

NOTE:When using high energy Li-Polymer Batteries, please do not over-discharge or over-charge batteries as this will result in overheated batteries. Discharging capacity can’t exceed 80% of the max capacity of the pack after full charging to ensure a good cycle performance. It is recommended to fully charge a brand new battery before using and only discharge the battery 50% for the first 5 cycles. Always monitor race time and/or set a low voltage warning on ESC (End voltage cannot be lower than 3.2v per cell). Do not use a battery that has too low a voltage. Do not expose batteries to sunshine or store/charge batteries at temperatures above 35°C or in a closed car. The high-temperature environment could cause damage to the pack or make it burst. If the battery becomes hot while fast charging, high current discharging, or racing, do not charge it until it has cooled completely. Wait about 20 mins, then inspect prior to recharging.

New Typhon Driver Verified Owner Friday, Apr 11 2025 (6 months ago) Gens Ace 2S 35C G-Tech Lipo Battery Pack (7.4V/2300mAh) w/iEC2 Connector Fits into a Typhon Grom 223s just fine and straps down securely as long as you tuck the balance cable down; charges fine on a Spektrum S155 charger with the Spektrum RC 6″ IC2 Battery to IC3 Device SMART Battery Adapter Cable (SPMXCA320). It is, of course, NOT a Spektrum smart battery, so you plug in the balance adapter, the charger shows cell voltages, plug in the main power with the adapter, then select charge settings and charge. The main power cable is over an inch longer than the stock Spektrum battery, which I find nice.
Definitely runs the car longer than the stock 2S 1400 Spektrum battery, as expected. Might, perhaps, increase acceleration as well; it’s capable of quite a lot higher amperage per specs. The case is not as tough-feeling as the Spektrum’s.
It does not get hot with moderate speed runs; I’m just not a good enough driver yet to do faster long-time runs with the area I have usually have available.

Longer run times than the Spektrum 1400mah lipo that comes with the Groms. Connector on it is better than the IC2 connector the Spektrum battery has as it has more area to grab onto. Soft case feels perfectly adequate as well and doesn’t feel as though it will break or allow a cell to puncture. View all reviews
