Made for 190mm width drift chassis, this body shell comes clear and offers an excellent platform to build from. With many option parts available, this GR86 is ready for anything from mild to wild sideways action.
About the 24K GR86
Clear Body
This licensed bodyshell is molded from durable Lexan material. Coming in clear, this body is ready to receive your custom paint scheme. With many avenues to take your GR86, the sky’s the limit to where you can take this iconic drift body.
History
The introduction of the GR86 marks the successor to the GT86, a vehicle that enthusiasts first experienced a decade ago on a small circuit in the Japanese forests. While the 86 made its debut in the Toyota lineup in 2017, many gearheads are aware that it was essentially a facelifted and renamed FR-S, which had been salvaged from the discontinued Scion brand. Despite this, the 86 has authentic Toyota roots, being named after the AE86—the model code for the last rear-drive version of the Corolla, cherished by drifters. Although deeply connected to Toyota’s history, the collaborative development of the 86/FR-S took place with Subaru, which offered its own version known as the BRZ. Subaru enthusiasts will easily recognize the brand’s influence, especially in the straightforward interior design. Nevertheless, Toyota enthusiasts can argue that they have a legitimate claim to the car’s pedigree.
